    Product description

Thanks to the Catrine Pearl Litter urine collection kit, collecting your cat’s urine has been simplified as much as possible and can easily be done at home without stressing your pet. The grains of Catrine Pearl Litter do not absorb urine, allowing you to collect a sufficient amount for testing by your veterinarian.

Contents of the Catrine Pearl Litter urine collection kit:

    • 200 grams of non-absorbent litter granules

    • A pipette for collecting urine

    • A plastic container/bag to store the urine and bring it to the veterinarian

How to use the Catrine Pearl Litter urine collection kit:

    • Empty and clean the litter tray.

    • Rinse the tray several times with warm water, then dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth.

    • Pour the entire contents of the Catrine Pearl Litter sachet into the tray and put the tray back in its usual place so your cat will use it.

As soon as your cat urinates, you must collect the urine without delay as follows:

    • Slightly lift the litter tray and tilt it toward a corner so the urine pools in that corner.

    • Using the pipette, draw up as much urine as possible.

    • Transfer the urine into the transport tube/bottle by gently squeezing the pipette.

IMPORTANT: Please note that urine must be collected immediately after the cat urinates and the sample should be brought to your veterinarian quickly to prevent deterioration and reduce the chance of misinterpretation.

    Additional advice from our veterinarian:

    • Ideally, bring the urine to the clinic within one hour of collection. If you have a scheduled appointment, collect the urine just before you leave.

    • If you do not have an appointment and are bringing the urine for a routine check: collect it during clinic opening hours at a time when you can deliver the sample promptly.

    • If more than one hour will pass before you can deliver the sample, store the urine in the refrigerator (do not freeze). The time between collection and testing should never exceed 12 hours.

    • Final tip: when you arrive at the clinic, tell the veterinary assistant right away that you have a urine sample for analysis — this may save time for processing the sample.
